    Team CLASH are so excited to offer this exclusive event for sponsors of CLASH - Save North St Albans Green Belt campaign, on The Childwickbury Estate, Harpenden Road, St Albans, AL3 6JX.

    We still need to fundraise to stop developers targeting Green Belt in North St Albans. Just like them, we need good lawyers, planning consultants and expert assistance to defend North St Albans countryside from speculative development.

    Getting to the event:

    Ride, run or walk to a celebration picnic at The Childwickbury Estate.

    Suggested route maps here. From 30mins to 1hr. Or make your own route.

    At the event:

    -Drop off zone: 1pm to 1.45om

    -Picnic site, stalls and music: 2pm to 5pm

    -Pick up zone: 5.15pm to 6pm

    Please feel free to bring a picnic and rug of your own.

    Dogs:

    • Dogs are welcome to join you on your route and at the picnic site (please keep them on the lead whilst at the picnic site).

    • Please do not take your dog if you are completing a cycling route.

    Heartwood Halo

    We will be sharing our detailed understanding of the ecological impact of Heartwood Forest on the land surrounding enhancing the wildlife and biodiversity and how this phenomena is two way with the land surrounding supports the increased vitality of the forest.

  • Guided Walk. 6th March 22

    The sun came out and so did many local people, families and dogs! We saw with our own eyes the extent of the beautiful area threatened with development and the scale of expansion. The event was completed by drinks and cakes at The Green Man pub in Sandridge.

  • Public Meeting at Christ Church, High Oaks. 6th Feb 22

    Our first community meeting attended by approx 60 people including local Lib Dem Councillors Helen Campbell and Sinead Howland. The legal situation to date was outlined and there followed a very fruitful discussion garnering support and offers of help from local residents.

  • SustFest22 Green Belt Wildlife Photography Competition

    For this year’s SuitFest, we’re holding a photography competition with prizes!

    We’re inviting you to submit photographs of the wildlife, flora and fauna that you find in your local green belt in St Albans.

    We want the world to see the amazing green belt views that have been protected for generations, but are now under threat; the insects, amphibians, birds and mammals that face local extinction; the aquifer and waterways, sky and air - can you find the perfect photo?

    Enter your photographs into our competition via email. You can enter as many as you like and specify your age group (Primary Infants, Primary Juniors, Secondary 11-18, Adult).

    Please give your entries a title too. They can be taken anytime between now and the end of SustFest22 (31st May, 2022).

    We will be displaying the entries online and via social media, entry to the competition gives us consent to use the photographs as part of the competition promotion and further marketing. Credit will be given.
